Scrunch pricing and 7 Scrunch alternatives compared (2026)
Scrunch Core is $250 a month for 125 prompts on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot. Claude and Gemini need custom Enterprise. Trakkr and AthenaHQ cover more engines; Peec AI and Otterly.AI cost less.
Scrunch Core costs $250 a month for 125 unique prompts, 5,000 AI responses a month and 4 engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot. Claude, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Meta AI and Grok are on Enterprise, which is custom priced. The best Scrunch alternatives are Trakkr and AthenaHQ for more engines, and Peec AI and Otterly.AI for a lower price.
We read every vendor's own site on 1 November 2026 and link each fact to the page we read. Scrunch is a mature product, so we start with its pricing and what it does well. Then we compare seven alternatives, explain how we compared them, and say where Rank Monthly fits as a different kind of product.
What is Scrunch?
Scrunch is an AI search visibility platform. Its homepage says it gets your site AI-ready so you show up in answers and get cited (Scrunch). It has two product areas: monitoring and insights (prompts, citations, competitors, AI bot traffic) and the Agent Experience Platform (AXP). Scrunch says AXP helps you see what AI agents say and do, optimize your site for them and deliver what they need, without changing what human visitors see.
The pricing page says Scrunch is trusted by 500+ brands and agencies, and the homepage lists SOC 2 Type II, role-based access and SAML and OAuth single sign-on. Scrunch does not say on these pages how it collects answers or how often prompts run.
How much does Scrunch cost?
Scrunch shows two plans for brands: Core at $250 a month and a custom-priced Enterprise plan. Core comes with a 7-day free trial. We read this on Scrunch's pricing page on 1 November 2026, in the page as a browser renders it.

Source: Scrunch pricing, read 1 November 2026 in a browser and in the page's server HTML. The page lists an FAQ called "Do you offer annual pricing?" but its answers did not load for us, so we do not know whether $250 is a monthly or annual-billing price.
If you have seen Scrunch Starter or Growth plans elsewhere, with Claude on every plan, those were not on the pricing page on 1 November 2026. Check the live page before you buy.
What Core includes and what it leaves out
Included: citations and sources, sentiment, funnel stages, prompt management, insights and recommendations, AI bot traffic, 3 AI Search Trends topics and 1 page optimization a month.
Cost per prompt: $250 for 125 prompts is $2 a prompt, about the same as Peec AI Starter ($1.90) and Trakkr Growth ($2).
Left out: Claude, Gemini and Google AI Mode. If your buyers use Claude or Gemini, Core does not track them.
Also left out: AXP, the API, MCP and more than 1 country, language or brand workspace. Those are on Enterprise.
What does Scrunch do well?
More than tracking: AXP is built to serve AI agents what they need from your site, and site audits check how AI reads your pages. Trakkr and AthenaHQ also list site fixes or content actions, so compare what each one changes on your site.
Bot traffic in the same tool: Core shows AI agent and bot traffic next to prompt data.
Enterprise readiness: SOC 2 Type II, role-based access, and SAML and OIDC single sign-on on Enterprise (Scrunch).
Five user licenses on Core, where Trakkr Growth has 3. Peec AI, Otterly.AI and AthenaHQ list unlimited users.
A free 7-day trial on Core.
Why do people look for Scrunch alternatives?
Engines: Core tracks 4 engines. Claude, Gemini and AI Mode need Enterprise, and Enterprise has no public price.
Price of entry: $250 a month is a lot for a small team that only wants to see if AI names it. Otterly.AI starts at $29 and AthenaHQ has a free plan.
One market: Core covers 1 country and 1 language.
You want tracking only: if you will not use AXP or audits, a pure tracker can give more prompts or engines for the money.

Trakkr checks 8 models every day on every paid plan: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Grok, DeepSeek and Meta AI, with "No per-model fees". Growth is $100 a month, or $83 a month billed yearly, for 1 brand and 50 prompts, with 3 seats, citations, competitor rankings and 25 articles a month. There is a 14-day free trial (Trakkr pricing). Scrunch Core gives 125 prompts to Trakkr's 50, so compare on prompts as well as engines.
AthenaHQ: 11 models and a free plan
AthenaHQ's Essential plan is free, with 300 credits, unlimited users and 5 engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and Copilot). Starter is $295 a month for 3,600 credits, where 1 credit is 1 AI response, across 11 models including Claude, Google AI Mode, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral. Starter has unlimited prompts and seats, CSV export and on-page and off-page actions (AthenaHQ plans). Scrunch Core collects 5,000 responses a month, so AthenaHQ Starter gives fewer responses spread over more models. AthenaHQ also shows an annual option at 17% off.
Peec AI: a lower price and a stated method
Peec AI Starter is $95 a month for 50 prompts, with unlimited seats. Self-serve plans let you run 3 active models from ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot, Gemini and Naver AI. Claude is Enterprise only, and Perplexity is listed as a paid add-on model (Peec AI pricing). Its docs say Peec "uses UI scraping technology", so answers match what a visitor sees (Peec docs). See Peec AI alternatives for more.
Otterly.AI: the cheapest way to start
Otterly.AI Lite is $29 a month for 15 prompts on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot, the same 4 engines as Scrunch Core, with unlimited team members. Standard is $189 a month for 100 prompts. Gemini and AI Mode are add-ons from $9 a month on Lite, and Claude is $29 a month on Lite or $109 on Standard (Otterly.AI pricing). See Otterly.AI alternatives.
Profound: when you buy through sales anyway
Profound's brand pricing is a free 7-day trial (50 prompts daily on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews) and a custom Enterprise plan with up to 9 engines, including Claude, Perplexity, AI Mode, Copilot, DeepSeek and Exa Search, plus SSO/SAML and SOC 2 (Profound pricing). It is the closest match to Scrunch Enterprise. Agencies have separate prices: see Profound pricing and Profound alternatives.
Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit: if you already pay for Semrush
Semrush's knowledge base lists the AI Visibility Toolkit at $99 a month for 1 project, 1 domain and 25 prompts in Prompt Tracking. Fifty extra prompts cost $60 a month, each extra domain $99, and there is no free trial. The article names ChatGPT and Google AI Mode as examples of covered platforms but gives no full engine list (Semrush).
Ahrefs Brand Radar: market-wide data
Ahrefs Brand Radar has two parts. Every paid Ahrefs plan includes a small daily quota of custom prompts (5 on Lite), and custom prompt tracking is priced from $50 a month. The AI Visibility Index starts at $199 a month and covers 519 million+ prompts on AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot. Claude is available for custom prompts, not in the index (Ahrefs Brand Radar). It suits teams that want to see a whole category, not only their own prompt list.
How we compared these tools
Method: we compared each tool on four things, using only the vendor's own pages, read on 1 November 2026.
Entry price you can pay without a sales call, and what it buys.
Prompts or AI responses included at that price.
Engines on that plan, with Claude and Gemini called out because Scrunch Core leaves them out.
What else is in the box: site audits, agent features, seats, API and security.
We did not test data accuracy, and we report collection methods only where a vendor states them. Prices change often, so each entry links to the page we read. We make Rank Monthly, which is not a tracker, so it is not in the table.
Where is Scrunch still the better choice?
You want tracking, site audits, AI bot traffic and page optimizations in one tool at one public price.
You plan to use AXP to serve AI agents what they need from your site. Trakkr lists optimized pages for AI crawlers on its plans, so compare the two if this matters to you.
You want 125 prompts and 5 users on the entry plan. Trakkr Growth has 50 prompts and 3 seats.
You will move to Enterprise later and want SOC 2 Type II, SAML and a dedicated account team from the same vendor.
Not as a tracker. Scrunch shows where AI answers name you and which sources they cite. Rank Monthly works on one kind of those sources: it books businesses into the listicles, newsletters and LinkedIn creator posts that buyers read and AI assistants quote, and keeps them there.
Those pages matter. In a Prefer study from July 2026 of 188 answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude, 40% of the sources cited for buyer questions were independent lists. Vendors' own sites got 34%, review sites 3%.
One ledger shows every placement, page visit, click and AI mention, month by month, with what was paid. It reports on your placements; it is not a prompt-tracking dashboard.
Brands pay monthly only while a spot is live, or once for a new post. Payment is held until the placement is verified live.
Rank Monthly is in early access, with no customers or results yet. Only publishers who joined are available. Pricing on request during early access.
Google and the assistants decide what they show. Nobody can promise an AI mention.
On 1 November 2026 Scrunch's pricing page showed Core at $250 a month for 125 unique prompts, 5,000 AI responses a month, 4 engines and 5 user licenses, with a 7-day free trial. Enterprise is custom priced and adds Claude, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Meta AI, Grok, AXP and API access.
Does Scrunch track Claude and Gemini?
Only on Enterprise. On 1 November 2026 Scrunch Core listed ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot. Enterprise lists 9 engines: those four plus Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, Google AI Mode and Grok.
Does Scrunch have a free trial?
Yes. Scrunch's pricing page offers a 7-day free trial of the Core plan. It also has a free AI audit of your site that it says shows results in 30 seconds with no credit card. The pricing page lists no free plan.
What is the best Scrunch alternative for Claude and Gemini?
Trakkr checks both, with 6 other models, every day on its $100 a month Growth plan. AthenaHQ Starter covers 11 models, both included, for $295 a month. Ahrefs Brand Radar covers Gemini in its AI Visibility Index from $199 a month and Claude in its custom prompt tracking.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Scrunch?
Yes. Otterly.AI Lite is $29 a month for 15 prompts on the same 4 engines as Scrunch Core. Peec AI Starter is $95 a month for 50 prompts, and AthenaHQ has a free plan with 300 credits. All give fewer prompts than Scrunch Core's 125, so compare cost per prompt.
Can Rank Monthly replace Scrunch?
No. Rank Monthly is not a tracker and has no prompt dashboard. It books businesses into listicles, newsletters and LinkedIn creator posts that AI assistants quote, and reports AI mentions for those placements in its ledger. A tracker and placements do different jobs.
