The formula

With value per click:

clicks to the page × share that leave for a tool × share for the position × value per click × buyer intent × AI citations × exclusivity

With CPM:

clicks to the page × share of views for the position ÷ 1,000 × CPM × buyer intent × AI citations × exclusivity

The range comes from running the formula once with your low value and once with your high value.

Worked example

Example only. The numbers are invented to show the method: a page with 2,000 clicks a month, position #1,$3 to $5 per click and an AI citation multiplier of 1.15. They are not real data, not a benchmark, and not Rank Monthly's prices.

  1. 2,000 clicks × 25% leave for a tool × 30% for position #1 = 150 outbound clicks
  2. 150 × $3 to $5 per click = $450 to $750 a month
  3. × 1 intent × 1.15 AI citations × 1 exclusivity = $518 to $863 a month

Example result: $518 to $863 a month. These are not Rank Monthly's prices.

The method

  1. Take the page's monthly clicks from Search Console, as an average of the last 3 months.
  2. Estimate the share of those clicks that leave for a tool, and the share each position gets.
  3. Set a low and a high value per click, or a CPM, for the brand's buyer.
  4. Adjust with multipliers for buyer intent, AI citations and exclusivity, and write down each assumption.
  5. Compare the result with public rate cards before you quote it. It is an estimate of value, not a price list.

The basis of every estimate is the numbers you enter and the labeled example values. Nothing is read from other sites or from Rank Monthly.
